A Message From The Interim Rector:
Welcome to St. Michael's web site. By clicking on the various banners on St. Michael's staff there will be revealed to you our identity as Christians, our interests, the path we believe God is leading us on, and our special interests. Take time, particularly, to peruse the selection of our bi-monthly Messenger Newsletter. It is well written and quite comprehensive.
As one who has come "from away" to be part of the ministry of St. Michael's during this period of transition, I have consistently felt warmly welcomed here. The music is joyous, the prayers sincere, the outreach generous, the fellowship warm. We know how and when to laugh at ourselves and our foibles. Come, join with us when you are able and experience the feeling of being loved by God and his people.
In Our Lord's Service,
Father Jim
The Parish of St. Michael’s is a congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine. People hail from the cities of Auburn and Lewiston, as well as many of the outlying areas, such as: Greene, Turner, Gray, New Gloucester, and so forth. Voices praising God range from young children shouting alleluias and amens to the quiet prayers of long-time worshippers.
We offer our worship, service, and ministry, as our motto states, "To the greater glory of God."
